East Valley Senior Home Sharing Program
Connects seniors with extra rooms to seniors needing housing. Operated by Tempe Community Action Agency. Eligibility: seniors (55+).
I-HELP Emergency Shelter (intake via TCAA)
Tempe Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program. Overnight shelter rotated weekly through partner congregations across Tempe. Intake is by phone — DO NOT walk up to the address; this is the program's administrative office. Call to ask about tonight's host site and eligibility.
Sue's Espacio Bridge Shelter (City of Tempe)
City-owned 40-room bridge shelter on Apache Blvd (former Rodeway Inn, opened 2021, named for advocate Sue Ringler). Operated by City of Tempe Housing Services. Intake is by referral via the HOPE outreach team or partner orgs — DO NOT walk up. On-site amenities for residents include laundry facilities, hygiene supplies, occasional hot meals, and a dog park.
